Type: Full Time / Regular 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Glade Operations is responsible for building a unique, exciting and safe environment at The Glade, one of the city's newest premier public spaces. This role will work closely with the Director, Glade Operations to develop a superior guest experience and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with creative energy and a knack for building relationships with various stakeholders. 

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: 

• Provide admin support to Director 
• Draft processes, start-up documentation and SOPs 
• Collect, format and interpret operating data and create regular operating reports 
• Support hiring process of Glade staff 
• Work closely with Land Management and Maintenance teams to ensure upkeep of property 
• Collaborate with Security team on potential threats and safety concerns 
• Develop process to respond to guest concerns through in person, online and phone correspondence 
• Own evaluation process for guest satisfaction 
• Own guest service training for FPF and partner staff 
• Assist in onboarding FPF Glade staff and vendor front line staff 
• Assist in developing yearlong programming 
• Become an expert on ice plant operations and water treatment system 
• Serve as Manager On Duty (MOD) 
• Support events team to execute programming and events 
• Collaborate with key operational vendors to maintain high level guest experience 

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Equivalent job experience will be considered. 
• Experience working with forecasting and budget models 
• Minimum of three to five years of related experience, including supervisory experience. 
• Proven success in event management, hospitality or guest service industries. 
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
• Experience working with ice rinks, community centers, parks & rec, and food and beverage industry a plus. 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Ability to build relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds. 
• Ability to gain certification to drive Olympia ice resurfacer, a plus 
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays License(s)/Certification(s) Required: Valid driver’s license. Physical Work Requirements/Work Conditions 
• Comfortable working in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions. 
• Occasionally required to traverse the park over uneven terrain. 
• Comfortable working in confined spaces periodically. 
• Occasionally required to be in areas with loud noise. 
• Able to lift and move materials up to 40 pounds.
